A Labor of Love
The Freedom Fest committee sponsors the annual 4th of July celebration. For over 30 years in Galva, Illinois, this celebration has offered the opportunity to show our true spirit of patriotism, community support, and belief in America’s ideals, freedoms and independence.
We are an all volunteer committee that organizes fundraisers throughout the year so that we may continue our annual celebration.
Monetary donations are a huge part of our fundraising and we appreciate your help.
The Main event
Galva begins our Independence Day celebration each year on 3 July and continues the festivities right through our spectacular fireworks display held at the 33 acre Galva Park District on the 4th of July.

car show Event
Our annual car show is held the second Saturday of each year in beautiful, shady, Wiley Park.

Throughout the year, the committee sponsors several fund raising events that help us put on a fire works display that draws nearly 10,000 visitors per year:
